We are already on to Pesah, but the message remains the same. Many times in history we haven't been able to, "allowed to", defend ourselves against a genocidal tyrant intent on wiping out our people. Purim and the Exodus from Egypt are two very different instances where our people were able to resist genocidal decrees and with God's help save ourselves from annihilation. At their core they are festivals of remembrance and thanksgiving, messages that are relevant more than ever as we go into yet another wartime Pesah.
